Asbury UMC Holy Week
April 16 – Experience his passion service at impact
April 17 – Maundy Thursday service in the sanctuary
April 18 – Good Friday service in the sanctuary
April 20 – Easter Sunday
April 23 – Celebration service at impact.
Easter Egg Hunt at Grace UMC
A community-wide Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Grace United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 19. Everyone is welcome.
Grace UMC Holy Week
The following services will be held at Grace United Methodist Church during Holy Week:
Maundy Thursday, April 17, 6 p.m.
Good Friday, April 18, 6 p.m.
Sunrise Service, April 20, 6 p.m.
Resurrection Celebration, April 20, 8:30 to 10:45 a.m.
National Day of Prayer
The National Day of Prayer will be held on Thursday, May 1. A Madison community gathering will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the Gazebo in historic downtown Madison. Everyone is welcome to attend the event. For more information, call Deborah or Larry Ward at 772-7313.
Singing School at Messiah Lutheran Church
Mark your calendars for this year's Singing School at Messiah Lutheran Church during the week of July 21-25. Presentations will be held on July 27. For more information, call Lois Graff at 430-0510.
Collectibles &More Auction at Messiah Lutheran
Messiah Lutheran Church will have its annual Collectibles &More auction to raise funds to send its lay missionaries to northern Canada. Lee Marshall, anchor at WAFF-TV 48, will be the guest auctioneer. Businesses and individuals donate new or like new things for the event. Anyone who would like to donate new or gently used articles may call Nancy Grant at 772-7607.
Fun Bells at Madison Christian Church
Fun Bells will be incorporated into the Sunday school and Wednesday evening Bible studies for youths from preschool through sixth grade. Fun Bells are hand bells that are different colors. Young youth need only know their colors to play music. Older youth use the colors to learn the notes and rhythms to play music.
Morning book club at Grace UMC
The morning book club at Grace United Methodist Church meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m. The book to be reviewed in March will be The Ballad of Frankie Silver by Sharon McCrumb. The book is available in paperback and at used bookstores. For more information call Callie Vincent at 539-9870.
Grace UMC sets new hours
There will be a new Sunday studies class offered at Grace United Methodist Church for young adults to age 35. This class will be led by Nick Van Valkenburgh and will meet in the south end of the fellowship hall. Sunday studies classes will begin at 9:45 to 10:30 a.m. A new early worship has been added to the schedule that will be held at 8:30 a.m. The late worship service will begin its new start time at 10:45 a.m.
Messiah sets new service hours
Messiah Lutheran Church in Madison has set new service hours. They are 8:30 a.m., worship; 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., Sunday school; 11 a.m., service.
