Hittle recalls first home run

MADISON – Logan Hittle finds it interesting to see how much progress he makes each year in baseball.

“Baseball is my favorite sport,” Logan said. He plays for Bob Jones High School and HITS baseball in positions of first base, pitcher and outfield.

Basketball is another sport that Logan likes. He plays guard.

Logan is a freshman at Bob Jones. While at Discovery Middle School, he played baseball, basketball and football for the Panthers in seventh and eighth grade. As a seventh-grader, Logan was named to the All County players for baseball. As an eighth-grader, he received Co-MVP and Co-Pitcher of the Year.

Logan’s brother Chase is an eighth-grader at Discovery. Their parents are Kyle and Kim Hittle. “My dad works on the arsenal,” Logan said. “My mom works in human resources for Complete Dental.”

“My family moved to Madison before I was born so I’ve been here all my life,” Logan said.

Q: What are your favorite restaurants in this area?

A: “My favorite food places are Domino’s, Guadalajara and Buena Vista Mexican restaurants, Pieology and The Melting Pot,” Logan said.

Q: What’s your favorite food?

A: Pizza.

Q: What are your favorite sports teams?

A: “My favorite pro teams are MLB – Braves, NBA – Pacers and NFL – Colts,” he said.

Q: What’s your favorite sports memory?

A: “My favorite sports memory is when I hit my very first home run. And when I hit back-to-back home runs in a game,” Logan said.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?

A: “In my free time, I like to hang out with friends, be outside and practice baseball and basketball so I can get better,” Logan said.
